Classes

Adult Ballet

Our ballet classes give adult students an opportunity to participate in open classes that focus on the foundations of classical ballet technique and safe dance practice.
Technical elements such as posture, weight placement, coordination, line and dynamics are discussed and explored, as well as musicality and performance. Exploration of ballet vocabulary and terminology is also a focal point in these classes.
Students learn to apply the foundations, elements and vocabulary of ballet to basic exercises, and to more complex combinations.

We offer three levels of ballet:
Beginner ballet (students with no previous experience)
Elementary ballet (students with some previous experience)
Advanced ballet (students with reasonably strong technique and experience)

For students interested in further developing their technique or particular aspects of ballet, private lessons or small group classes are available.

Adult Ballet Examinations (invite only)

We offer examination syllabus classes for students wanting to work towards and complete a Royal Academy of Dance Examination, or Geelong School of Adult Ballet internal assessment. Students work through the RAD syllabus, focusing on technique, musicality and performance, as well as free movement and character dance exercises as part of the syllabus.

Prior ballet experience is required for this class. Please contact to enquire.
